This page is dedicated to some of the other Blériot’s that have been made or restored. Some amazing ones are out there.
I am starting with the Blériot made by my “propeller man” , Chad Wille from St. Croix Propellers in the US.
This is the story of Betty’s Blériot. Betty, Chad’s wife, saw a replica of a Blériot XI in the San Diego Air and Space Museum, and decided to build one, years and years ago. Sadly Betty passed away. Chad decided to complete the project in her remembrance.
A perfectly wonderful feeling: Chad and Betty Wille’s recently completed Blériot XI flying at 50 ft into an early morning sky, creating a scene which could easily be mistaken for 1910. Taken at Brodhead, Wisconsin during the first flights, September 2011.
Below is the original document written By Chad on this build with lots of beautiful photo’s
Plus an article by Chad on the 1910 Anzani and the 1908 Gnome Omega 50 hp rotary that he has used on Betty’s Blériot
